Where is your school?

1. Add your term dates

Include INSET and disaggregated staff days in these ranges, even if the hours are worked at another time. Don’t enter holiday ranges — the gaps between your blocks are worked out automatically.

2. Check bank holidays

Your selected country’s bank holidays are preset automatically and excluded from your school-day total. Only add an adjustment if your school treats a date differently.

Bank holidays inside your term dates

Add as many adjustments as you need, one date at a time. They apply only to weekdays inside your term blocks. A new action for the same date replaces its previous adjustment.

3. Check your total

We expect 195 school/staff days. If your total differs, check the dates and adjustments — you can still use the calculated calendar.

Back up or restore your calendar

Move your calendar to another device or website address, or keep a copy before clearing browser data. Backups include term dates, country, adjustments and any confirmed total. Previously saved school-event details are also kept if present. They do not create an account or sync future changes.

Open 195Days in Chrome.
Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ beside the address bar.
Choose Install and create shortcut, then Install. Depending on your version, this may say Install app or Add to Home screen.
Follow the prompts, then open 195Days from its new home-screen icon.

iPhone · Safari

Open 195Days in Safari.
Tap Share (the square with an upward arrow). On some versions, open the page menu first, then choose Share.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If it’s missing, look under Edit Actions.
If offered, leave Open as Web App switched on, then tap Add.
Open 195Days from its new home-screen icon.

After adding the icon, check your calendar in the app. If it opens with blank dates, enter them there — settings are saved locally, without syncing between browsers or devices.

How the countdown works

Today stays included until midnight in UK time. Weekends and excluded bank holidays never count. Days until the next break are counted to the end of your current term block.

Disaggregated INSET dates within your term blocks still count, even if you complete those hours at other times.
